Diyarbakır's Fertile Plains Will Meet Water

Construction of Silvan Dam, which will be the largest irrigation dam in GAP after Atatürk Dam, continues despite attacks by the terrorist organization PKK.

When Silvan Dam, which will be the highest and largest concrete-faced rockfill dam in Europe, is completed, the fertile plains of Diyarbakır will meet water. Approximately 1 million 800 thousand decares of land will be irrigated and employment will be provided for 305 thousand people.

Within the scope of the Silvan Project, 8 separate dams and 23 irrigation facilities will be built. When these facilities are completed, 7 billion 500 million cubic meters of water can be stored in the region.

İlci İnşaat A.Ş. is among the contractor companies in this mega project, putting its signature on one of Turkey's most important infrastructure projects.
